@HOME MEDITATION RETREAT

Tent up. TV & phone off. Meditation brain full-on. Finding a new recording from a Tampa, Florida Progressive Workshop and a virtually homework-free weekend with sunny cool weather triggered the opportunity to quiet my mind and synchronize my brain and heart.

My head ached, as if I needed to release a year’s worth of dirty laundry from my head. After multiple meditation sessions and a night’s sleep in the cool open air, it let go and it felt so good. Even the pups slept on their own for a night, which means I did too. They did not love the square footage of the 2-person pup tent.

I haven’t camped or slept outside in too long and it felt great to be outside so much. I’ve since posted my outdoor loveseat under my favorite meandering oak, making a new place to pause, relax and meditate more. It’s clear now that I need it. Now that the numb has released—at least for now.
